アートスタジオ五日市レジデンス事業は、国内外で活躍中の版画制作に従事する若手芸術家を招へいし、国籍を越えて芸術家が共に創作活動に従事する機会を提供し、若手芸術家の発掘・育成を図るとともに、作品の発表や芸術家と地域住民等との交流を図ることにより、芸術や異文化についての相互理解を深め友好親善の促進に寄与することを目的として、あきる野市教育委員会が主催し、アートスタジオ五日市運営委員会が運営する事業です。

The Art Studio Itsukaichi Residence Program invites young Japanese and international artists with active careers in the printmaking field to engage in creative activities with other artists. Transcending national borders, the program strives to nurture and discover new talent. Through the organization of presentations of work and exchanges between the artists and local residents, we aim to contribute to a deeper mutual understanding of art and different cultures and thus promote friendship and goodwill. The program is run by the Art Studio Itsukaichi Steering Committee with sponsorship from Akiruno City Board of Education.
