"芸術家や芸術分野の制作者・研究者等が、一定期間、京都に滞在しながら創作活動や交流を行うプログラム。異なる文化に触れることで新しい芸術表現を生み出そうとする新進又は若手のアーティストや芸術分野の研究者等の滞在創作活動を支援している。 都心部にありながらコミュニティとの関係も深く、大学や他の関連機関との幅広いネットワークを活かした多様なサポートが可能。京都ならではの伝統芸能や伝統工芸にも積極的に取り組み独自のプログラムを実施している。12室あるスタジオには京都の若い芸術家が集い日々創作を行っており、「KYOTO EXPERIMENT:京都国際舞台芸術祭」などの会場でもあることから、国際的な創造発信拠点として活動している。 "

his is a program which allows artists, creators, art researchers etc. to take up temporary residence in Kyoto and engage in creative production and local exchange. Through encounter with other cultures new art expressions come to be born, and this program offers its support to young artists and art researchers who push such a movement forward. Whilst based in the city center the residence as a deep connection with the local community as well as a wide network with universities and related intuitions, which can be drawn upon in support of a creator’s project. The program of course provides access to the traditional crafts and performing arts of Kyoto and actively incorporates these into its engagements. The studio space consists of 12 rooms which are occupied by various young artists of Kyoto whilst also being one of the host venues to “KYOTO EXPERIMENT– Kyoto International Performing Arts Festival”.
