"2008年度より、金沢21世紀美術館がトヨタの本事業に賛同し、トヨタ コレオグラフィーアワード「次代を担う振付家賞」副賞として、受賞者公演とレジデンシープログラム（稽古場・宿泊施設など）の提供を行なうものである。 金沢21世紀美術館でのレジデンシープログラムの実施は、金沢発の新作クリエイションおよびその成果発表を実施すると同時に、ワークショップ等を通じて地域コミュニティとの交流も図る。およそ2週間程度のレジデンシープログラムとして公演場所、稽古場・宿泊場所などを金沢21世紀美術館が提供し、作品製作費の一部をトヨタ自動車株式会社が提供して実施される。

Since 2008 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa has gained recognition from the Toyota Foundation and is providing a residence program to winners of the Toyota Chorography Award for the Next Generation. The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art’s public performance program also provides a chance to present new creations born from Kanazawa and the results of the residence program, whilst workshops and participatory events allow for an engagement with the local community. As part of a two week residence program a performance space, rehearsal studio and accommodation are provided by the museum, with Toyota providing funding for part of the production costs. *The Toyota Choreography Award was first established together with Setagaya Public Theater in 2001 as part of Toyota Motors work with Mécénat
