私たちは喫茶店を営んで26年目となります。最初は喫茶店だけでしたが、ギャラリースペースも併設していた為たくさんのアーティストと関わるようになりました。私たちも何かをつくること、飾ること、見ることが好きですのでそれからはアートを特色とした喫茶店となっていきました。そして、喫茶店の近くに大久保という集落があり、そこで暮らしていた祖父母の家が空き家となってしまったので、アーティストインレジデンスをはじめることに致しました。

We have run a book cafe & Guest house "Dokusyonomori" in a small city, Komoro Nagano prefecture for 25 years. We love art,nature and have man friends who are artists, musicians,craft persons and so on. Now we have just started Artist in Residence[AIR]. We believe art make can world beautiful and peaceful. We have wanted to contribute our society through art with many artist. Why don't you come and make your art works in our place? Our studio and sponsors house"cafe,guesthouse Dokusyonomori" are different places. It is about 3,5km far between the two. Our Studio Travel & Art is in a small village calles "Ookubo" where is peaceful and typically traditional. Maybe many dwellers in the village will be confused when they meet you at the first time. But all of them will be friendly soon. You can see and experience the way of living in the countryside in Japan. And it will inspire your so much. We have 4rooms(2 japanese style, 2 western style), and a living room. Also you can use garden, farm as you like.

新宿駅から小諸駅まで
直通のバスが1時間に1本程でています。
時間は3時間程、料金は3000円程です。
小諸駅からは歩いてくるか、送迎も可能です。

From Shinjuku to Komoro
You can get to Komoro station by high way bus(about 3000yen) or train(about 7000yen).
It is about 4km far from the station to the studio.
You can walk it takes about 40 minutes.
But we are afraid it is a little far for walking.
You can take busses but there are not many busses that you can use(about 5 busses go and back a day).

地域の特徴

小諸市は人口4万人程の町で、大久保はその中でも小さな地区です。
若者は少なくなり、空き家も増えましたが、日本らしい田舎風景をみて感じることのできる集落です。
近くには温泉がいくつかあり、浅間山をはじめとした連峰を眺めることができます。
市内は交通の便はそんなに便利ではありませんが、ゆっくりと歩く楽しみ味わうことができます。
また、近くの山にも登山することができます。
春の特徴: 懐古園という小諸城跡があり、そこの桜並木は長野県内でも有数の花見スポットです。
夏の特徴: 夏は高原の風が吹いて、爽やかな暑さです。
秋の特徴: 高い山々が次第に紅葉していく大パノラマを楽しめます。そして秋の野の黄金色の田んぼの美しさはひときわです。
冬の特徴: 真っ青にはれた冬空が続き、夕映えの浅間連峰や北アルプス連邦は紫に輝きます。

Local Charm

Museum of high land in Komoro Andou Momofuku center Aguri no yu (hot spring) cafe and guesthouse Dokusyonomori Ruins of Komoro castle Nunobiki Temple

There is ruins of Komoro castle. you can see many cherry blossoms there.
Blowing dried wind, and non high temperature and less humid here than in Tokyo.And we have summer festival in Komoro city.
The leaves in high mountains and filed gradually turn into red,yellow,purple, The rice fields turn into golden.
We have the clear blue sky almost everyday.The sunset scenery of Asama mountains or Japanese northern Alps line shines beautiful purple.
